Service Employee / Service Technician (m/f/d)
Swobbee develops and operates battery swapping infrastructure in Europe and the United States and is expanding internationally. Our technology enables scalable charging and swapping infrastructure, from e-scooters to commercial fleet applications. We are looking for a hands-on Service Technician to join our field operations team — installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Swobbee stations across Europe.
As part of our team, you will help ensure that our technologies operate reliably and efficiently — while supporting us in continuously improving our systems and rolling them out internationally.
Your main responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of Swobbee stations across various European countries
- On-site maintenance, service and repair work
- Fault analysis and independent troubleshooting of technical problems
- Quality checks on existing and newly installed stations
- Ensuring quality standards in the field (hardware & system integration)
- Documentation of all deployments and technical changes
- Close collaboration with internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Product Development)
- Training local partners and service providers on station operation
- Supporting the optimisation of service and installation processes
- Acting as the technical point of contact for issues in European countries
Professional qualifications — Must-have
- Completed training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, metal construction or comparable
- Experience in technical service, field service or assembly
- Good understanding of electrical systems, controls and technical equipment
- Experience with fault-finding and maintenance of technical systems
- Driver's licence class B
- Willingness to travel regularly within Europe
Professional qualifications — Nice to have
- Very good English skills (working language across Europe)
- German skills for internal communication
- Additional European languages (Spanish, French, Italian) are a strong plus

Purchasing & Sourcing — International Focus (m/f/d)
Swobbee is scaling its battery swap infrastructure across Europe and beyond. To keep our supply chain running smoothly, we're looking for a Purchasing & Sourcing specialist with a focus on international procurement — particularly with our Taiwanese component suppliers.
You'll own the day-to-day purchasing of technical components for our Swobbee stations — from requesting quotes to coordinating quality checks and tracking deliveries.
Your main responsibilities
- Procurement of technical components for our Swobbee stations
- Communication and coordination with our supplier base in Taiwan
- Obtaining and negotiating quotes from suppliers
- Ensuring delivery timelines and material availability
- Conducting and coordinating quality checks on incoming components (based on specifications, drawings, samples)
- Coordinating with suppliers on quality deviations and tracking corrective actions
- Supporting the development of quality standards in purchasing
- Coordinating with internal teams (Production, Logistics, Engineering)
- Maintaining and developing supplier relationships
- Supporting the development of efficient purchasing processes
- Reviewing quotes, specifications and contracts
Professional qualifications — Must-have
- Initial experience in purchasing, supply chain or a technical environment
- Structured and thorough working style
- Ability to coordinate multiple topics simultaneously and prioritise effectively
- Basic technical understanding (e.g. components, bills of materials, production processes)
- Very good English skills (daily communication with international partners)
- Good German skills for internal coordination
Professional qualifications — Nice to have
- Mandarin (Chinese) is a strong advantage — particularly helpful for working with Taiwanese suppliers
- Experience working across time zones and with Asian suppliers

Embedded Software Engineer — Rust (m/f/d)
Swobbee develops and operates battery swapping infrastructure in Europe and the United States and is expanding internationally. Our technology enables scalable charging and swapping infrastructure, from e-scooters to commercial fleet applications. To support the development and scaling of the firmware for our central control units, we are looking for an experienced embedded software engineer with strong Rust skills. Together with our engineering team, you will work on advancing our embedded systems and contribute practical solutions.
As part of our team, you will help ensure that our technologies operate reliably and efficiently — while supporting us in continuously improving our systems and rolling them out internationally.
Your main responsibilities
- Development and architecture of firmware for our control units in Rust
- Integration of new battery types and development of the corresponding hardware drivers
- Implementation of communication interfaces between the charging modules and higher-level systems
- Hardware-related debugging and signal-level error analysis (using oscilloscopes and logic analysers)
- Supporting and further developing our automated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing system
Professional qualifications — Must-have
- Several years of hands-on professional experience in embedded software development for microcontrollers — beyond academic projects
- Very strong programming skills in Rust
- Confident handling of common communication interfaces and bus systems: CAN, SPI, I2C, UART
- Experience working both at an abstract software level and in hardware-related environments
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for embedded systems
Professional qualifications — Nice to have
- Experience with Async Rust in embedded environments, ideally using the Embassy framework
- Knowledge of C for working with existing or legacy codebases
- Knowledge of Python, especially for test automation
- Experience setting up and operating HIL systems and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
- Confident use of modern AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude Code) for efficient software development
- Basic electronics knowledge for adjusting test setups or hardware components
